As early as 1936, MORINAGA & Co., Ltd. started the organization named "HOMAGE TO EVERY MOTHER", and in the next year, began to hold a series of kindhearted meetings under the title, "MORINAGA's Mother's Day Gathering", resulting that the Company successfully spread the idea of Mother's Day in the Japanese society.   Added to these meetings, which became MORINAGA's periodic events in many of the chief cities in Japan, such related projects as picture/composition contests of children, "This is My Mother," had been long taken place for over 50 years.   Considering these "HOMAGE TO EVERY MOTHER" movements of MORINAGA as one of the Company's most benevolent activities, the Angel Foundation decided to take over all the offices of these projects in 1991.
